When I say that I had an adventure on my 21st birthday, most of you are probably thinking that it was alcohol related. I would like to be able to say that I did not become drunk on my 21st birthday because I am a responsible adult who has an early morning Genetics class that would be made more difficult than it already it by being hungover. No, the reason I did not become Sh*tfaced the night of my birthday is due to the fact I have lost my drivers license.
There you have it, I lost my drivers license on the eve of my 21st birthday and have yet to recover it. My room was searched by 4 different people in an attempt to find it. I am not even sure I brought it up here, since i haven't need to drive since the middle of August.
I don't think it is Ironic, in fact I am not sure what it is at all besides bad luck to lose your drivers license now that you actually have a use for it beside showing everyone that you got it on your 16th bday.
Also a big thank you to the Illinois DMV for saying that it would be at least 3 weeks before I get a new one.

An Adventure in Grocery Shopping
Now you might be wondering how one could possibly find an adventure in grocery shopping what is normally one of the most boring task on the face of the planet, just ask any mother.
It becomes an adventure when you have to feed close to 45 people for a couple days, it becomes an adventure when you have to use more than one shopping cart, it becomes an adventure when you forget your shopping list, it becomes an adventure when you have a strict budget, it becomes an adventure when you are with a fellow CA (Community Advisor, also see RA,) Betty.
So there we were in the middle of Trigs( Known as County Market to the rest of the world.) And we are trying to plan how to feed 45 people, breakfast, spaghetti and tacos for the next couple of days, while staying under our 250 dollar mark. It felt like we were on a game show, and not only did we have to stay under budget but we had a time crunch, as we had a meeting to go to after this was all over.
The pressure was on. When you are pressure to anything and must get it done it can become an adventure, unless you are green beans or other cannable produce.
With fear to the axel's breaking took our plunder and headed for her truck, before realizing "Shit, now we are going to have to carry all of this down to the basement and the clock is ticking down."
Some fast thinking on Betty's part saved the day, she called the HD and when we pulled up to the curb we found the some LT members waiting for us. They carried all the food down and stalled the LT meeting for us.
It truly was an adventure in grocery shopping.
